SimplifyEm.com

Sim

JUST RELEASED! This is the newest addition to T-Rex global, to which I have definitely contributed the most - This is a web application for real estate investors which helps them keep track of their income/expenses throughout the year, and then actually produces a completed 1040 form at the end of the year. By far, this is the most "Web 2.0" site I've ever done, as it makes heavy use of AJAX and the Xilinus PWC, which makes for a crunchy good time! Anyway, those were the parts of this project that I was really behind, all the stuff that uses javascript windowing techniques, and awesome script.aculo.us effects, and AJAX; that's all me. SO PROUD!!

TrexGlobal.com and Realtaxtips.com

Rtt

These two domains are a suite of applications for real estate tax investors. trexglobal.com and all it's sub-applications are written in ruby on rails, and realtaxtips.com is a highly modified version of the Pligg (like digg) open source cms. The company is run by Pankaj Shukla (CEO) and Narinder Sandhu (President), Pankaj is a former VP for Intuit's Small Business Division responsible for product strategy and development for QuickBooks and Quicken. Narinder Sandhu was Vice-President at Intuit’s Payroll Services responsible for its product strategy and development. While realtaxtips was written mostly by me, only a portion of my work is currently on the live trexglobal.com server, while the rest is pending release in development. Currently, I plan on working for trexglobal.com exclusively.

ASU Bands Internal

Asu

Just finished writing/designing the new internal (members) site for Arizona State University bands. Although you can't really test it out yourselves (I only wrote the members-only section), you can check out the rest of the site! What I wrote is a customized Joomla CMS system specifically for the members of the band, such that Joomla would organize important band events, dates, and files and store them in a place all the members of the band could easily check-up on. This includes a customized calendar module for jooma which integrates with the regular ASU legacy calendar database (which I thought was pretty cool) - and also a FULLY customizable upload/download system for the members of the band, specifically so they could download new scores or forms as the instructor uploaded them, or even mp3 tracks!

Gary P Gilroy Publications

Gpg

This is a custom eCommerce site done by me for GPGmusic.com. In this site I've also customized the shopping cart to make expandable and collapsing Ajax listing, as well as a full ajax mass mailer, and a full SQL site exclusivity management system. This ensures (for the bigger players in the music printing industry) that per site per concert no two bands will play the same music at the same competiton. With this site, GPG music has consolidated this data, their customer data, as well as readied themselves for their transition to being one of the most major players in their field. Job well done :) - contact Steve Martin -- steve ::at:: gpgmusic.com

YouForge

Yof

Youforge is an open-source, general purpose forge site written in Ruby on Rails. With it, you can turn your base application into a fully communally extended application – and this can be the power behind your community. With Youforge, software community building is made easy! The title will link you to the rubyforge community page, where you can download the latest source code and read the current documentation. This, of course, is only a precursor to my next project (or, my current project) the NEW Adhearsion.com - which will use youforge for a large part of adhearsion extensibility! A developer's best friend..

eSiteBid.com

Esb

Once again a new favorite! This is a scriptlance clone designated less for scripters only but for jobbers in general. This site uses Joomla as a framework, which i built the bidding interface on top of, in a series of new joomla components which I've written just for this site. I have also linked this site with google maps, so a user can literally choose their jobs from a satellite picture in the sky - check it out!!

Poker Hack (v1.0)

Pkh

This is my new favorite - as each new one usually is. Finally delving back into my C/++ roots!! This program simply plays poker, and does it really well. Among it's many features, it boasts a fully customizable poker algorithm system, a display screen (shown in pic in link), and even client-switching support, AND multi-table playing!! This is not for re-sale, custom job for Mr. Dave Aneo (daveaneo@yahoo.com). Mail him and ask him how cool it is. Awe in the screenshot.

The Big Bottom Band

Bbb

The Big Bottom Band needed a website with a fresh design that could appeal to a younger generation. After seeing what I had done with the Wrong-O-Thon (and the success in completion it had gained), they asked me if I could design something upbeat yet classy for their site. They were quite pleased with the results. Please contact Patrick Sheridan: 1-(602)-327-3765

Alpengasthof Bodenhaus

Alb

This is an austrian restaurant/lodge that needed a dual-language site (in german and english) and an easy way to add/edit the data on it. Please contact the owner for more information Marina Riess: +34677075779

Colegio Mochis

Moc

This is my first fully spanish website. This site combines the portal and CMS power of Joomla with the school management and administration services of moodle. With some interesting modifications by me, like a library system and a class schedule mechanism for moodle.
**Note: to properly view this page in spanish, please make sure you're using the native spanish version of your browser

Vegasdays.com

Vgd

I've done quite a bit for this site, and this is to date the largest site I've worked with. For vegasdays.com I wrote all the PHP code which delivers the vital betting odds and second-to-second sports information to the page from the XML feeds. Also I'm the one responsible for slicing up the design into usable peices and writing all the code to display it correctly, including the CSS to make things seamlessly come together. As a final note (and a chance to show some more skill), this is a link to my design proposal, although it went unpicked. Contact John W. at +14167200569

Salt River Brass

Srb

This is the site for a professional jass ensemble, the SRB. This site features uploadable images as well as dynamic site information, meaning that the owner can freely (easily) change the look of the site. Also, hidden from public view is a member's section, where band members can look for files or new calendar events scheduled by the band director. Please contact Patrick Sheridan: 1-(602)-327-3765

Young Nordic Art and Design (ynad.se)

Ynd

This is my favorite site so far. This site is a website for aspiring young nordic artistic talent. A user can sign up, and once registered can upload files which are then sold through the site. The pictures of the work are displayed in a flash gallery automatically populated by the php code. Users can also make use of a calendar of exhibitions and a member's forum.

Wrong-O-Thon 1.0

Wot

The WOT (like we all called it) was actually a collection of 4 2-Dimensional video games that I wrote and designed (with the help of a photographer and a trained fine-artist). This was an attempt not only to see where the lines between art and technology coincide, but also was intended as a video game contest for whomever cared to participate. The games were quite challenging, and the prize was never actually awarded because of that.

Project Pandora

Pnd

The pandora project was an innovative project designed (specifically) to allow users who may not know anything about computers more than perhaps how to use the internet to actually create their own fully functional 3D video games. Complete with customizable levels, rules, Artificial Intelligence, and a myriad of other features - I would have to say that although all my projects have had amazing results, none have been more challenging than this. Feel free to contact the project manager - Casey Ward: 1-(480)-544-3687
