Which IDE (or editor) do you use?April - 26 - 2008 |

Hey all, I tried to make a pretty complete list of all the IDEs in this poll, if I've left something out comment about it and I'll try to add it. What editor do you use? My vote's been cast (TextMate for the win!). I'm really curious as to how this'll turn out, just wrote the polling code today! |

You included vi, but no emacs?! Heads will roll...
I agree. If you're going to have a poll about which editor people use, emacs is a must.
NoteTab
There ya go, emacs is up there now!
Dude(s), the fact that visual studio is so high is just so unforgivable. I can't believe there's so many people on it. GET A BETTER IDE!!!
If Visual Studio is an option - then what about CodeGear RAD Studio?
Eclipse wins by leaps and bounds, it seems. It lingered for a long time yesterday though, i will have to leave this up for longer to really get a conclusive winner..
I souldn't vote, I use e Text Editor (www.e-texteditor.com)
I couldn't vote, I use e Text Editor (www.e-texteditor.com)
I tend to like Zend Studio 5.5.1 very much, has all the features I want and need. I've tried eclipse for lamp and also aptana which are good also, my only problem with eclipse is it's support for sftp's so far I haven't found an actual and working sftp plugin (besides using aptana pro), if anyone know it would be appreciated.
no phped? this list is too short
You should have options for "Other / console" and "Other"
I actually use Scite with the console. I heard it has one built-in, but I'm really lazy and I've gotten used to having a separate console window.
Put Visual Studio on some decent hardware and it's a freaking awesome IDE. Quite responsive, very adaptive, to a certain extent even SMART with its' use of Intellisense. Debugging is awesome, publishing is easy, and you can write macros to do extended functionality. Auto-formatting is awesome, especially when updating a horribly formatted web page. Sure, on bad hardware it's a sluggish program, but if you have the hardware to handle it, it's wonderful.
In which context? For me:
C/C++/C#: Visual Studio (I don't make a habit of C#)
C/C++ On Linux: Kdevelop
Ruby/Python: Eclipse (although now I have to use Aptana as that just stole my favourite plug-ins)
Everything else on Windows: Notepad++
Everything else on Linux: VIM
Good afternoon. When the gods wish to punish us, they answer our prayers. Help me! I can not find sites on the: Free tanning beds. I found only this - database Tanning bed timers. I was laying out tanning sweating like a piggy. One thing I know I won't take from you is your advice whatever it would be but I would urge you to lay out in the sun every summer for now on from am until pm, and chain smoke during and after and by all means feed youself according to modern day nutritionists; regulations and then build yourself :cool: Thanks in advance. Charlotte from Nicaragua.
